Today‘s fabulous queer artist feature is @_greffelstejn
Artist Statement:
I was born in the western part of Jutland in 1984, and I now live on Christianshavn, a small island in the middle of Copenhagen, Denmark – Wilhelm Hammershøi’s old neighbourhood in fact. I have been working as a full time artist since 2017.
My prefered tools are paint- and airbrush, and I primarilly use vibrant acrylics and a great deal of restraint when I paint the images I see in my mind’s eye. I paint on both traditional and untraditional mediums like canvas or boulders or whatever else cathes my imagination.
I sometimes use matting agent and varnish, and I draw inspiration equally from different levels of consciousness, other worlds and my childhood. My paintings are mainly non figurative, I paint gradients and trippy geometrical shapes and patterns trying meticulously to evoke a meditative sense of calm.
