@anxo.art - The Art of Being Queer - Artist Feature

Tonight's queer artist feature is @anxo.art

My name is Anxo and I’m a 21 year old illustrator from Spain, and for the past few months I’ve been working on some personal projects. One of those projects is my recent “Eros”.

This project (which some day I’d like to turn into a physical zine) is called “Eros”, after the greek god of sex, as a way to honor my passion for mythology since I was a little kid.

For this zine I created 7 illustrations. My main goal was to express the journey of someone who has had a bad sexual experience, which has affected their relationship with their own body and how they experience love, affection and sexual desire with other people.

Each illustration has its own title, portraying a certain feeling within the whole process of accepting and healing from the bad experience and becoming sexually active again.

The 3 images I chose (the whole project is available on my Instagram) are called “Deleterious”, “Exploration” and “Fusion” (translated from spanish) and showcase: the harming nature of living an experience that becomes traumatic because you were not emotionally stable at the time, trying to figure out how to deal with that experience, and, at last, the final feeling of relief when you’ve been able to overcome your obstacles regarding sex.

Make sure you follow the artist and The Art of Being Queer for regular queer content!
