'Klexos' as the title given to the process for my art is about giving away part of my intimacy to others and allowing particular moments the chance to exist separately from everything else. I've always been driven by the need to look fairly at painful experiences and to be able to call them by their name. However, more recently, my art has become about this journey with other people. Looking at how they've influenced fresh context to trickle in and fill out the narratives of my regrets and my strengths. I’m trying to be more unapologetic. I've always cared too much about offending a hypothetical public who would probably recklessly condemn me either way. But I guess that’s also one of the things that drive me in the end. To know that what I’m doing is striking. To know that I have a voice and that I can be a guiding force creatively and visually for others. Perhaps most importantly though, allowing myself to be self-indulgent and provocative, despite the mundaneness of my reality.
