Artist Statement:
"I am an architect and urban planner from Brazil and thats my main passion. Art was always part of my life and I always made queer art, but I kinda just realised it in my adulthood. My my art comes from the fascination with fashion, horror and misunderstood villains - this sounds a little bit gay cliche, but it feels right.
I like how people react to my art because it causes a strangeness that at the same time causes visual pleasure. I think it was Crystal (from RuPaul's Drag Race) said "Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's body dysmorphia", and I feel like that applies to my art and myself.
Being lgbtq+ in Brazil is a risk everyday, so be out and proud nowdays is a political statement itself. .. so I think queer art has this revolutionary power to keep us alive."
